Holy Eucharist (Communion)

Holy Eucharist is a sacrament and a sacrifice. It is the central focus of our faith. Jesus instituted the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper when he gathered his apostles on Holy Thursday, the night before he died. He took bread into His hands and said, "this is My Body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." (Luke 22:19)

Encountering Christ in His True Presence in the Eucharist for the first time is an occasion of great joy.  Preparing our children for this encounter is a joyful journey!

Our children who wish to receive the Sacrament are prepared by attending our Parish School of Religion for a minimum of two years. Children should be at least 7 years old before enrolling in the program. Classes begin every year in September.

Preparation for First Communion also includes preparation for the sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession).

In order to enroll your child in this program, the family must be a registered member of the parish.

If you are an adult non-Catholic (or fallen away), and you are interested in receiving the Sacraments, please visit our RCIA page for more information.
